Papaver orientale ‘Orange Glow’ is a striking Oriental poppy selected for its intense colour and exceptionally high pollen value early in the season. Flowering in late spring to early summer, its large, open, glowing orange blooms are rich in pollen and are eagerly visited by bees at a crucial stage of colony growth.
While its flowering window is brief, the ecological return is significant. ‘Orange Glow’ works best as part of a layered, season-long planting scheme, helping bridge the gap between spring bulbs and longer-flowering summer perennials in wildlife-aware gardens.

Plant roots in well-drained soil in a sunny position. After flowering, foliage will naturally die back; this is normal and allows the plant to store energy for the following year. Interplant with later-emerging perennials to maintain both visual interest and continuous forage.
Avoid disturbing established plants, as Papaver orientale prefers to be left undisturbed once settled.
