Narcissus Pheasant Eye, also known as Poet's Narcissus is a highly sought-after variety of Daffodil (Narcissus). It's a heritage variety, one of the oldest known cultivated daffodils, making it a really special addition to your Spring garden.

Pheasants Eye Daffodil bulbs produce an eye-catching, beautifully scented pure white flower head that surrounds a tiny yellow cup, edged in deep red. The flower shape is rather intricate in shape than other varieties of Daffodil, making it a perfect cut flower for bouquets.

Pheasant Eye Daffodil bulbs were awarded the RHS garden merit and is the best daffodil for naturalising, i.e. multiplying under the soil to produce more and more bulbs, and therefore flowers every year.

Expect the Pheasant Eye Daffodil to bloom in April and grow to approx. 40cm in height.

ALL of our Daffodil bulbs, including the Pheasant Eye Daffodil bulbs are high quality, Irish grown, produced locally in Co Waterford, Ireland.

Tips for planting Narcissus Pheasant Eye Daffodil Bulbs

Narcissus Pheasant Eye grows best in partial shade, suitable for full sun too. Plant the daffodil bulbs 10-15cm deep into moist, well-drained soil in Autumn from September to November.

When the plant has finished flowering, deadhead and allow the foliage to die naturally as early removal can cause the bulb not to flower in the following year. Fertiliser may be added when the flowers have been deadheaded.

Use a Dibber for planting bulbs.
