Grape Hyacinth - Muscari Armeniacum Bulbs are a super plant for pollinators in Ireland.

Grape hyacinths are spring-flowering bulbs that look very like miniature hyacinths that grow from small fleshy bulbs.

Muscari or Grape Hyacinths are easy to grow, creating a beautiful array of early colour in your garden or wider community space. These spring-flowering bulbs make the perfect addition to a biodiverse, pollinator-friendly garden. Expect a burst of blue/purple flowers between April and May.

How to plant Grape Hyacinth, mini Muscari bulbs

Stagger planting over a number of weeks for staggered blooms over a longer period in Spring. Plant in full sun or semi-shade right up until January. Suitable for pots, containers, in lawns amongst other bulbs such as daffodils. Also suitable for rockeries and where desired in Irish garden landscape.

Sow Grape Hyacinth Bulbs 4 inches into the soil.

Plants for Pollinators

Recommended by the All Ireland Pollinator plan as plants for pollinators. Have you pledged your garden to pollinators? Use Grape Hyacinth to boost the availability of food for bees, butterflies, and other insects in your garden.

These bulbs are sourced from a local Irish supplier.
