Plant a natural legacy

Create an Irish woodland-inspired spring garden with our Woodland Bulb Collection, featuring carefully selected naturalising spring bulbs including Irish Bluebells, Snowdrops, Crocus and Wood Anemones. Designed to thrive beneath deciduous trees, in shaded gardens and woodland settings, these spring bulbs will naturalise over time, creating beautiful drifts that return year after year.

There is something deeply familiar about the first flowers of spring. Snowdrops pushing through cold soil. Crocus opening on a bright February day. Wood anemones spreading softly across the woodland floor. Bluebells arriving later, turning shaded ground into a haze of blue.

Our Woodland Collection brings together four classic spring flowers chosen to naturalise over time, returning year after year and slowly settling into the landscape.

This is not a collection for straight lines or formal beds. For the most natural effect, plant in loose drifts beneath trees, along hedgerows or in lightly shaded garden corners. Scatter small handfuls gently across the ground and plant them where they fall - the way nature might have placed them herself.

Over time, these bulbs and rhizomes will create a layered spring display, offering colour, memory and early-season support for pollinators emerging from winter.

A collection to plant once, and watch become part of the place.

Best For

Woodland edges, shaded gardens, beneath trees, hedgerows, informal grass and quiet corners where you want spring to return year after year.

Planting Advice

Plant between September and November in moist, well-drained soil. Suitable for partial shade or dappled sunlight.

For a natural woodland effect, scatter bulbs in small groups and plant where they land. This creates soft, irregular drifts that feel much closer to how spring flowers appear in the wild.

Allow foliage to die back naturally after flowering to help bulbs and rhizomes build energy for the following year.

Why We Love It

Unlike many spring bulb collections that focus purely on colour, this collection has been chosen to recreate the natural succession of flowers found in woodland habitats.

The result is a long-lasting display that supports biodiversity, returns reliably each spring and becomes more established with time.
